Owning Palette: FPGA Interface VIs and Functions
Requires: FPGA Interface
Casts Session In to the data type, Type. This function only changes the type of elements that FPGA VI reference contains. This function does not convert data. Use this function with the FPGA Interface Dynamic Refnum constant to create a dynamic host interface. Some FPGA targets might not support this function.
The connector pane displays the default data types for this polymorphic function.
Type is the reference data type to which you want to convert the FPGA VI reference. Wire any constant or control to Type to set the reference data type to which you want to convert the FPGA VI reference.
Session In is the FPGA VI reference you want to convert to Type.
Session Out is the FPGA VI reference provided in Session In and converted to the same reference data type as Type.
Use this function with an FPGA Interface Dynamic Refnum wired to Type to specify the interface for the FPGA VI reference. The interface can contain elements such as controls, indicators, DMA channels, and target-specific methods.
