Viewing Alarms and Events Using the Alarm and Event Display Control (DSC Module)

The Alarm and Event Display control automatically monitors all alarms generated by a process for which you are monitoring shared variables. Complete the following steps to select a different source from which to monitor alarms in the Alarm and Event Display control. To complete these steps, you must have a VI with an Alarm and Event Display control on the front panel.

  1. Select Operate»Change to Run Mode to switch the VI to run mode.
  2. Right-click the Alarm and Event Display control and select Select Processes from the shortcut menu to display the Select Processes dialog box.
  3. In the Available Processes list, navigate to the process for which you want to view alarms.
  4. Click the Add button. The process appears in the Selected Processes list.
  5. Click the OK button.

You also can filter the viewing of alarms and events in the Alarm and Event Display control.
