Access this dialog box by placing an Alarm and Event Display control on the front panel of a VI. Then select Operate»Change to Run Mode. Right-click the Alarm and Event Display control and select Filter Options from the shortcut menu.
Use this dialog box to display only alarms and/or events that meet specific criteria.

This dialog box includes the the following components:
![]() | Note All the following criteria support wildcards except Priority. You can use asterisk (*) and question mark (?) wildcards to expand the scope of the filter. The asterisk represents one or more characters, and the question mark represents a single character. For example, a* stands for all user names that start with letter a. a? also stands for all user names start with letter a, but these user names must have only two characters. |

![]() | Note Use the Available Areas dialog box to select one of the alarm areas of the alarms in the current view. Click the Browse button to display this dialog box. You then can select an alarm area in this dialog box and click the OK button to apply this alarm area to the Area Name text box. |
