Update Deadband Page (Shared Variable Properties Dialog Box)

In the Shared Variable Properties dialog box, select Update Deadband to display this page. Use this page to update the deadband settings for logging shared variables.

Note  You can configure deadband settings for network-published shared variables with a Data Type of Double.

This page includes the following options:

  • Enable Update Deadband—Specifies whether LabVIEW sets deadbands for the shared variable.
  • User deadband (% of range)—Specifies the deadband percentage of the engineering scale range when the user changes a share variable value. The default range of the engineering scale range is 100. When the user changes the value of the shared variable, the Shared Variable Engine accepts the new value only if the change is greater than or equal to the deadband.
  • Source deadband (% of range)—Specifies the deadband percentage of the engineering scale range when the source changes the shared variable value. The default range of the engineering scale range is 100. When the source changes the value of the shared variable, the Shared Variable Engine accepts the new value only if the change is greater than or equal to the deadband.
