Configuring Security Settings for Shared Variables (DSC Module)

You can configure security settings for an individual shared variable or for multiple shared variables at one time. You can grant or deny access to shared variables for users, groups, and machines. By default, the access rights are unspecified.

Note  If you leave a permission unspecified, the access for that permission is denied by default. If you leave a permission for a group unspecified, you can grant a specific user in that group access to the permission. However, if a permission for a group is set to deny, you cannot grant any users in that group access to the permission.

To add user or group access for a shared variable, the user or group first must be created in the Domain Account Manager.
