The Shared Variable Engine starts automatically when you log into Windows. You also can stop and start the Shared Variable Engine manually.

Note If you stop and restart the Shared Variable Engine, LabVIEW restarts all previously running I/O processes. |
You also can stop and start the Shared Variable Engine by using the NI Distributed System Manager. Select Action»Stop Shared Variable Engine or Action»Start Shared Variable Engine to stop or start the Shared Variable Engine respectively.
