Redirects a Tag Reader instance to a new root URL. This VI allows you to access the tags under this new root URL.

Tag Reader in specifies the data of a group of tags that the Open Tag Reader VI opens.

root URL specifies the new root URL to which you want to redirect. This VI updates the Tag Reader instance by using this root URL.The format of root URL is \\computer_name\process_name\shared_variable_name. This format contains three levels. You can specify the root URL to any level. The Tags VIs combine root URL, path separator, and tag name to resolve the full tag URL.

Note Ensure that the shared_variable_name does not contain backslashes (\).

error in (no error) describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

Tag Reader out returns the Tag Reader instance for the tags that the updated root URL contains.

error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
