Use the Engine Control VIs to interact with the Shared Variable Engine (SVE) by manipulating LabVIEW project library files, processes, shared variables, and I/O servers. For example, you can use the Engine Control VIs to deploy project libraries and shared variables to the SVE. You then can create an I/O server to read data from and write data to the SVE.

The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes or specific DSC Module error codes.

Subpalette	Description
Libraries & Processes VIs	Use the Libraries & Processes VIs to deploy or undeploy a LabVIEW project library; to create, delete, or enable a process; or to enable alarm or data logging on a process.
Variables & I/O Servers VIs	Use the Variables & I/O Servers VIs to create, configure, and delete a shared variable; to commit multiple shared variables; or to create, configure, or delete an I/O server.
