Configures the logging settings of a shared variable.
Note  You can configure logging settings of network-published shared variables only.

variable reference in specifies a reference number for a shared variable. Use the Create Shared Variable VI to create a refnum for a shared variable.
logging settings specifies the logging settings of the shared variable.
enable? specifies whether LabVIEW enables logging for the shared variable. The default is FALSE.
data type specifies the data type of the shared variables that you want to configure. This VI automatically detects the data type of the shared variable.
log data? specifies whether LabVIEW logs historical data for the shared variable. The default is FALSE.
log alarms & events? specifies whether LabVIEW logs alarms and events for this shared variable. The default is FALSE.
value resolution specifies the resolution, in engineering units, for logging the shared variable value in the Citadel historical database. LabVIEW writes shared variables to the Citadel historical database in compressed format with the specified resolution. The default is 0.01. Enter a value of 0.0 to write the exact value of the shared variable to the Citadel historical database. Logging the exact value requires more time and disk space. This input applies to only shared variables with a floating-point data type.
value deadband specifies the deadband for logging the shared variable value in the Citadel historical database. LabVIEW logs a new shared variable value only if that value differs by at least the deadband value from the value previously logged. The default is 0.01. Enter a value of 0 to log every new value of the shared variable. Use this option to improve the performance of an application by limiting unnecessary data logging. This input applies to only shared variables with a floating-point data type.
string logging format specifies the format in which LabVIEW logs strings in the Citadel historical database. This input applies to only shared variables with a data type of String.

0String (default)—Specifies that LabVIEW logs strings in LabVIEW string format. This option supports all string formats.
1DSC 7.1 Text—Specifies that LabVIEW logs strings in Unicode format. Use this format if you retrieve data logged from the LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module 7.1.
2DSC 7.1 BLOB—Specifies that LabVIEW logs strings in raw binary data format. Use this format if you retrieve data logged from the DSC Module 7.1.
reset when disabled? specifies whether to reset the value of logging settings to the initial state when you disable logging. If reset when disabled? is TRUE, LabVIEW resets the value. If reset when disabled? is FALSE, LabVIEW retains the value. The default is FALSE.
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
variable reference out returns the shared variable refnum that you wire to the variable reference in input.
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
