Use the EPICS VIs to exchange data between applications through the EPICS communication protocols.

Note  The Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) is a set of open-source software tools you can use to develop large, distributed control systems. EPICS also refers to the architecture of such systems, as well as to the collaboration group developing the related tools. Refer to the Argonne National Laboratory Web site at www.aps.anl.gov/epics for more information about EPICS and to download the latest version of EPICS.

Windows and Real-Time targets support the EPICS VIs. The following table shows the support for deploying the EPICS Server I/O server and the EPICS Client I/O server based on the platform you run the EPICS VIs. The indicates that you can deploy the EPICS Server I/O server and the EPICS Client I/O server in that location.
