Adding Items to a Blackfin Target in the Project Explorer Window (Blackfin, Embedded Module)

You can add new or existing Blackfin VIs, global variables, custom controls, or Interrupt Service Routine VIs to a LabVIEW project in the Project Explorer window. You also can add external .c, .dlb, and .ldf files to project files.

Complete the following steps to add an item to a Blackfin target in the Project Explorer window.

  1. Create a new project or open an existing project.
  2. Add a Blackfin target to the project.
  3. Right-click the Blackfin target and select New»x from the shortcut menu to add a new item, where x is the type of item you want to add, such as a VI or folder. The item appears in the Project Explorer window under the Blackfin target.
    Tip Tip  Use folders to organize items under the Blackfin target in the Project Explorer window.
  4. Double-click the new item in the Project Explorer window to rename or edit the item.
  5. (Optional) Specify a top-level VI.
Tip  You also can drag and drop existing items into the Blackfin target in the Project Explorer window.

Adding External Files

Complete the following steps to add an external file (.c, .dlb, or .ldf) to a project.

  1. Create a new project or open an existing project with a Blackfin target.
  2. Right-click the Blackfin target and select Add File from the shortcut menu.
  3. Navigate to and select the file you want to add to the project file and click the Add File button. The item appears in the Project Explorer window under the Blackfin target.
  4. Double-click the new item in the Project Explorer window to rename or edit the item.
  5. Right-click a build specification under a Blackfin target and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
  6. Click Source Files in the Category list.
  7. Select any additional files for the Blackfin application and click the blue arrow button to move the files to the Additional files list.
