Use the VisualDSP++ Configurator to create new platforms. You can create platforms by creating a new platform or copying and editing an existing platform.
Complete the following steps to create a platform.
- Click the New button in the VisualDSP++ Configurator to create a new platform or select an existing platform from the Platform Templates list and click the Copy button to use an existing platform as a template. The Platform Properties dialog box appears.
- Under Platform, enter a name for the platform in the Name text box. Each platform must have a unique name.
- Select a JTAG emulator from the Type list or click the Browse button to detect a list of emulators on the host computer.
- Under Emulator Settings, enter the PCI, base, and CPLD addresses in hexadecimal format. Refer to your emulator documentation for more information about emulator addresses.
- Under Devices, configure a list of scan chain devices from Test Data Out (TDO) to Test Data In (TDI). Refer to the VisualDSP++ documentation for more information about scan chains.
- Click the Test button to test the hardware.
