You must define and configure the Blackfin target platform, which VisualDSP++ uses to communicate with the Blackfin target, when you configure the Blackfin target. The Embedded Module for Blackfin Processors includes the correct configurations for the BF533 EZ-KIT, BF537 EZ-KIT, and BF538 EZ-KIT. You only need to use the VisualDSP++ Configurator if you need to define additional platforms for a custom design.
Use the VisualDSP++ Configurator to do the following:
- Define the JTAG scan structure for the Blackfin target.
- Specify a unique name for each processor in a multiprocessor system.
- Create platforms based on different target setups.
- Test the target using the ICE (In Circuit Emulator) Test utility.
Complete the following steps to launch the VisualDSP++ Configurator.
- Right-click a Blackfin target in the Project Explorer window and select Configure Target from the shortcut menu to open the VisualDSP++ Target Configuration dialog box.
- Click the Configure button to launch the VisualDSP++ Configurator.
- Click the Help button in the VisualDSP++ Configurator dialog box to open the VisualDSP++ Help for information about using the VisualDSP++ Configurator.
