In the Project Explorer window, right-click a Touch Panel target and select Properties from the shortcut menu to display the Touch Panel Target Properties dialog box. Select General from the Category list to display this page.
Use this page to edit the Touch Panel target name and launch the Microsoft Device Emulator Manager.
This page contains the following components:
- Name—Defines the name for the target.
- Device ID—Indicates the LabVIEW ID for the device. LabVIEW sequentially numbers PDA or Touch Panel targets you add to a project.
- Launch Device Emulator Manager—Launches the Microsoft Device Emulator Manager.
- Connection—Specifies whether the target uses ActiveSync or the NI TPC Service to deploy, run, and debug Touch Panel applications.
Use the NI TPC Service instead of ActiveSync if you are using Ethernet and need to deploy a Touch Panel application to multiple Touch Panel targets. You must install the NI TPC Service on the Touch Panel target before you can use the NI TPC Service.
- Touch Panel Device ID Address—Specifies the IP address of the Touch Panel device.
- Test—Confirms that the NI TPC Service is running on the remote device.
- Connection status—Displays the status of the NI TPC Service on the remote device when you click the Test button.
