Complete the following steps to highlight the execution of a statechart.

1. Run the caller VI.
2. Right-click the Run Statechart function and select Debug Statechart. The statechart diagram appears in debugging mode, which means you cannot edit the diagram.

   Note  If you do not see the Debug Statechart option, you might have disabled statechart debugging. You must re-enable debugging and re-generate the code before proceeding.

3. Click the Highlight Execution button , which is located on the statechart diagram toolbar. Notice that with execution highlighting, LabVIEW highlights the appropriate transitions and states as the statechart receives triggers from the caller VI and moves from one state to another.
4. Click the Highlight Execution button at any time to disable execution highlighting.
