Setting the MAC Address for the ColdFire Example Target (Embedded Development Module)
Complete the following steps to set the MAC address, which also is called an Ethernet address or an IEEE MAC address.
- Connect the M5329EVB board to the host computer using the serial cable, which is included with the M5329EVB board.
- Launch your terminal program and set the communication speed to 115200.
- Reset the board.
- Press any key to prevent uCLinux from booting and to enter the dBUG monitor.
- Enter set ethaddrxx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, where xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx is the MAC address, which is on the sticker on the U21 chip (Flash) on the M5329EVB board.
- Enter the show command and verify the MAC address was stored.
