Saves the settings of a fixed-point adaptive filter to an XML file. You can determine appropriate settings for a fixed-point adaptive filter by simulating the filter. Use the AFT Load Fixed-Point Settings VI to load the fixed-point settings from an XML file.

Example

file path in specifies the path to the file in which you want to save the fixed-point adaptive filter settings. The default file extension is .xml. You can use any other file extension for the file. If file path in is empty (default) or <Not A Path>, this VI displays a dialog box from which you can select a file. This VI returns an error if you specify a file path that does not exist or if you click the Cancel button in the dialog box.
fixed-point settings specifies the fixed-point adaptive filter settings. You can obtain these settings by using the AFT Simulate Fixed-Point FIR LMS Express VI.
algorithm specifies the algorithm of the adaptive filter. The LabVIEW Adaptive Filter Toolkit supports only the standard least mean squares (LMS) algorithm.

0LMS (default)–Specifies the standard LMS algorithm.
filter length specifies the filter length of the adaptive filter. The value must be greater than or equal to 2. The default is 128.
step size specifies the step size of the adaptive filter. The value must be greater than zero. The default is 0.00999832.
encoding specifies the word length and integer word length of the input signals, coefficients, and step size of the fixed-point adaptive filter.
x(n) word length specifies the word length of the input signal x(n). The default is 24.
x(n) integer word length specifies the integer word length of the input signal x(n). The default is 1.
d(n) word length specifies the word length of the input signal d(n). The default is 24.
d(n) integer word length specifies the integer word length of the input signal d(n). The default is 1.
w(n) word length specifies the word length of the adaptive filter coefficients w(n). The default is 24.
w(n) integer word length specifies the integer word length of the adaptive filter coefficients w(n). The default is 1.
step size word length specifies the word length of the step size. The default is 16.
step size integer word length specifies the integer word length of the step size. The default is –2.
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
file path out returns the path to the file to which this VI saved the settings of the fixed-point adaptive filter.
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
