This tutorial includes exercises to help you get started with order analysis.
In the following exercises, you use the Order Analysis Express Measurements Express VIs in the NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite to build a noise, vibration, and harshness testing application. You use these Express VIs to perform offline order analysis on example data. The example data represents the speed and vibration amplitude of a computer fan during a run-up test. The exercises in this tutorial illustrate the common analysis methods you can use to acquire information about orders in the data.
You can use the Order Analysis Express Measurements Express VIs to perform most common types of order analysis. In this tutorial, you display data from different perspectives using these Express VIs and the following plots:
- Vibration signal plot
- Speed profile plot
- Colormap
- Order power spectrum
- Magnitude plot
- Order waveform
Each exercise of this tutorial builds upon previous exercises so complete each exercise in order.
