This book discusses fractional-octave analysis, including fractional-octave analysis theory, the averaging modes that the Octave Analysis VIs support, settling time, and the ANSI and IEC standards.
Use the Octave Analysis Express VI to develop and configure 1/1, 1/3, 1/6, 1/12, and 1/24 fractional-octave analyses interactively.
Use the Octave Analysis VIs to perform the following analyses:
- Full-octave
- Third-octave
- Fractional-octave, including 1/1, 1/3, 1/6, 1/12, and 1/24 octave
The Octave Analysis VIs can accommodate any sampling frequency and any number of fractional-octave bands. The Octave Analysis VIs provide compliance with both the ANSI S1.11-2004, class 1 and the IEC 1260:1995, class 1 standards.
