Use the TDMS File I/O VIs to read data from and write data to .tdms files.
Use the standard TDM Streaming VI and functions to open and close TDMS files, set custom group and channel properties, read and write basic data types, and view file contents. Use the SV TDMS Read and SV TDMS Write VIs to read and write measurement results returned by the Sound and Vibration measurement analysis VIs.
The VIs on this palette can return ranges of LabVIEW error codes or specific sound and vibration error codes.

| SV TDMS Read | Reads the specified .tdms file and returns data in a format specific to the polymorphic instance. You must manually select the polymorphic instance you want to use. |
| SV TDMS Write | Writes data to the specified .tdms file in a format specific to the polymorphic instance. Wire data to the scaled signal [EU] input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance. |
