In the Configure EPICS Server I/O Server dialog box, click the Add/Remove Variables button to display this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to add shared variables to or remove shared variables from the EPICS Server I/O server.

This dialog box includes the following components:

  • Browse Source—Enables you to switch between the Project Items tree and the Network Items tree, from which you select shared variables.
    • Project Items—Enables you to select shared variables from the current LabVIEW project.
    • Network Items—Enables you to select shared variables from a location on the network.
  • Access type—Sets the access type for the shared variables that you select. You can set the following access types for shared variables:
    • Read Only—The EPICS clients can read the value of this shared variable but cannot update this value.
    • Read/Write—The EPICS clients can read and update the value of this shared variable.
  • Add—Adds the shared variable you select from the Project Items or Network Items tree to the Added variables list.
  • Add All—Adds all supported shared variables under the selected item from the Project Items or Network Items tree to the Added variables list.
  • Remove—Removes one or multiple shared variables from the Added variables list.
  • Remove All—Removes all shared variables from the Added variables list.
  • Added variables—Lists the shared variables that you want to add to the EPICS Server I/O server.
  • OK—Applies the changes to the Added variables list and closes this dialog box.
  • Cancel—Cancels the changes that you made to the EPICS Server I/O server and closes this dialog box.
