Complete the following steps to generate log files during and after execution.
Open the LabVIEW project that contains the files on which you want to perform unit testing.
Click the Project Properties button on the Project toolbar to display the Project Properties dialog box.
- Select Unit Test Framework from the Category list to display the Unit Test Framework page.
- In the Generate Log Files section, place a checkmark in the checkbox of each log file you want to generate.
- Click the Browse button to select a file path for each log file you want to generate.
||Note If you do not select a path for the log file(s), LabVIEW generates the log file(s) in the same directory as the project.
- (Optional) If you generate a test execution log file, place a checkmark in the Overwrite log file checkbox if you want to replace the existing log file with the details from each subsequent test execution.
||Note LabVIEW appends the details of each subsequent test execution to the existing log file unless you place a checkmark in the Overwrite log file or change the log file name.
Click the OK button to close the dialog box and return to the Project Explorer window.
(Optional) Select File»Save if you want LabVIEW to save the report settings in the project file (.lvproj).
The next time you execute tests interactively, LabVIEW generates the log file(s) you specified on the Unit Test Framework page.
