In cable redundancy mode, a second redundant EtherCAT adapter is used in addition to the primary EtherCAT adapter. The OUT port of the last slave in the chain is connected to the redundant adapter on the same target to create two circular links. EtherCAT telegrams are sent simultaneously from both the primary adapter and the redundant adapter. As a result, any single broken connection in the network will not cause any slave to be disconnected.
