The ability to specify x and y data values allows you to plot non-monotonically increasing data.

You can use the Plots collection to include multiple ScatterPlot instances on a single graph. With multiple plots, you can plot multiple sets of data in the same plot area. You can determine whether plot colors are assigned by a color generator with the UseColorGenerator property, and you can change the plot color assignment with the PlotLineColorGenerator property.

Use PlotXY to plot a single y value against a single x value or an array of y values against an array of x values. PlotXYAppend plots y values against x values by appending the x and y values to the existing data.

You can plot multiple sets of y data values against a single set of x data values with a single method invocation. Use PlotXYMultiple to plot a 2D array of y values against an array of x values. PlotXYAppendMultiple behaves in much the same way, except that it appends the data to the existing data for plotting. PlotYXMultiple plots a 2D array of x values against an array of y values. PlotYXAppendMultiple behaves similarly but appends the data to the existing data.
