Use the controls on the Time Frequency Analysis Controls palette to display the magnitude or phase of the linear time-frequency coefficients of a signal on an intensity graph, to display the spectrogram of a signal on an intensity graph, or to display images on an intensity graph.

Palette ObjectDescription
TFA Coefficients IndicatorDisplays the magnitude or phase of the linear time-frequency coefficients of a signal on an intensity graph. When you add the TFA Coefficients Indicator to the front panel, the TFA Configure Coefficients Indicator VI appears on the block diagram with the reference of TF coefficients indicator input and the TF coefficients indicator output already wired.
TFA Spectrogram IndicatorDisplays the spectrogram of a signal on an intensity graph. When you add the TFA Spectrogram Indicator to the front panel, the TFA Configure Spectrogram Indicator VI appears on the block diagram with the reference of TF spectrogram indicator input and the TF spectrogram indicator output already wired.
TFA Gray Scale ImageDisplays an image on an intensity graph by using the gray scale color table. The gray scale color table displays the maximum value of the color scale in white and the minimum value of the color scale in black.

You can save the time-dependent 2D array to a text file for use in another software environment. The resulting text file contains only Z values and does not retain the time axis information or the frequency axis information. You can use the TFA Get Time and Freq Scale Info VI to compute the time scale information and the frequency scale information of the time-frequency representation.
