Statistical analysis methods enable you to investigate the stochastic characteristics of a time series. You can use the computed statistical values to infer some underlying information about the associated physical systems. For example, if a machining tolerance error is due to a systematic anomaly or random fluctuations. The computed statistical values for a time series also help you judge if other analysis techniques, such as modeling, are useful in analyzing that time series.
This book describes the statistical analysis methods that the LabVIEW Time Series Analysis Tools provide. You can process both univariate and multivariate time series with these methods.
