The following is an overview of the properties of root, groups, and channels you can search for.

Root Properties

author String Property.
Specifies the author of the data set.
createTime Time Stamp Property. ReadOnly.
Specifies the time when the data set was generated in the operating system.
dataPluginName String Property. ReadOnly.
Specifies the name of the DataPlugin that is used to open and index the data set.
datetime Time Stamp Property.
Specifies the date and the time when you last saved the data set.
description String Property.
Specifies the description of the data set.
fileName String Property. ReadOnly.
Specifies the name of the data set including the filename extension.
folder String Property. ReadOnly.
Specifies the folder for the data set.
Note  From Version 2010 the property Folder replaces the property Fullpath. The search for values of the the folder property is considerably faster.
indexstatus Enumeration Property.
Specifies the status of data indexing from the search areas in the DataFinder. The indexStatus property can have the following string values:

Explanation

eIndexedSuccess

The file has been indexed.

eIndexedTimeout

The time allowed for indexing has been exceeded.

eIndexedFailed

An error has occurred during indexing. The Error message property contains more details.

eIndexedNotYet The file has not been indexed yet.
eIndexedNotMyFile The file has a file extension for which a DataPlugin is registered. However the file format does not match this DataPlugin.
Note  In the quick search you cannot search for the values of the indexStatus property. In the advanced search you cannot use the wildcards (? and *) when you search for values of the indexStatus property.
modifyTime Time Stamp Property. ReadOnly.
Specifies when the data set was last modified in the operating system.
title String Property.
Specifies the title of the data set.

Channel Group Properties

description String Property.
Specifies the description of the channel group.
name String Property.
Specifies the name of the channel group.

Channel Properties

description String Property.
Specifies the description of the channel.
maximum Numeric Property.
Specifies the highest channel value.
minimum Numeric Property.
Specifies the lowest channel value.
name String Property.
Specifies the channel name.
unit_string String Property.
Specifies the unit of the channel values.

Assign values to the given properties to search these values with the DataFinder. You also can generate own custom properties.
