Select the Memory Configuration item from the Category list of the Target Properties dialog box to display this page.

Use this page to specify the amount of RAM to use as the I/O variable buffer.

This page contains the following components:
  • I/O Variable Buffer Size—Specifies the number of samples the I/O variable buffer can store. LabVIEW allocates the best fit available for the I/O variable buffer. The default buffer depth is 2 samples.

    Increasing the I/O variable buffer size allocates space for the specified number of samples for all I/O variables. As a result, the amount of space that the I/O variable buffer uses might increase significantly.
  • Restore Defaults—Resets the size of the I/O variable buffer to the default buffer depth.
On some WSN nodes, the I/O variable buffer shares RAM with the user RAM. On the NI WSN-3226, NI WSN-3202, and NI WSN-3212 nodes, the I/O variable buffer shares RAM with the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. After you set the number of samples the I/O variable buffer can store, the slide indicator and legend on this page display the amount of space allocated to the I/O variable buffer and the amount of RAM available to either the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine or as user RAM.
