Complete the following steps to remove a hardware device from a Real-Time Hypervisor system.

  1. Exit all programs and turn off the system.
  2. Disconnect the device from the card slot.
  3. Turn on the system.
  4. Select Windows from the NI Real-Time Hypervisor boot menu to boot into Windows. You cannot configure device partition settings when you boot into the NI Real-Time Hypervisor. Therefore, you can access the NI Real-Time Hypervisor Manager only when you boot into Windows.
  5. Use the NI Real-Time Hypervisor Manager in Windows XP to view and configure the OS partition settings of the system. Ensure that all devices are configured correctly.
  6. Apply the new configuration and follow the instructions generated by the NI Real-Time Hypervisor Manager.
  7. Turn on the system.
  8. Select NI Real-Time Hypervisor from the NI Real-Time Hypervisor boot menu to boot into hypervisor mode.
