The Stimulus Profile Editor allows you to create and run tests, called stimulus profiles, and to log and analyze data. You can save and reuse stimulus profiles, which contain Stimulus Profile Editor settings, such as stimulus generator mappings and the locations of any calibration files and header VIs you have added. You can add the following two types of Stimulus Profile Editor to the Tools menu:
- Stimulus Profile Editor—Using the Stimulus Profile Editor, you define a stimulus profile with a sequence of steps that control the channel with which you connect the steps. A stimulus profile has a .nivstest file extension.
- Stimulus Profile Sequence Editor—Using the Stimulus Profile Sequence Editor, you can automate running a batch of stimulus profiles. A batch stimulus profile has a .bt1 file extension.
