Syntax

c = fft(a)

c = fft(a, b)

c = fft(a, b, d)

c = fft(a, [], d)

Description

Computes the fast Fourier transform (FFT) in the same manner as the FFT VI.

Examples

Inputs

Name Description
a Specifies a vector or matrix of double-precision, floating-point or complex double-precision, floating-point numbers.
b Controls zero-padding to the signal. b is an integer and typically is a power of 2.
d Specifies the dimension of a in which LabVIEW performs the FFT. d is an integer.
[] Tells LabVIEW that you want to specify a and d but not b.

Outputs

Name Description
c Returns the fast Fourier transform of a. If a is a vector, c = fft(a) returns the original discrete Fourier transform (DFT). If a is a matrix, c = fft(a) returns the column-wise fast Fourier transforms of all columns of a. c is a vector or matrix.
