int32 __stdcall niWLANA_RFSAAutoDetectionOfStandard (niWLANAnalysisSession session, ViSession rfsaSession, char hwChannelString[]);

Purpose

Configures NI-RFSA to acquire an I/Q waveform and detects the IEEE 802.11 standard, which includes the type of physical layer, of the acquired signal.

This function sets the NIWLANA_DETECTED_STANDARD and NIWLANA_DETECTED_CHANNEL_BANDWIDTH attributes. Set these attributes after calling this function, and set the NIWLANA_STANDARD and NIWLANA_CHANNEL_BANDWIDTH attributes to the same values prior to performing signal analysis.

session niWLANAnalysisSession Specifies the niWLAN analysis session refnum.
rfsaSession ViSession Specifies a reference to an NI-RFSA instrument session. This parameter is obtained from the niRFSA_init or niRFSA_InitWithOptions functions.
hwChannelString char[] Specifies the RFSA device channel. Set this parameter to "" (empty string) or NULL.

Return Value

Name Type Description
status int32 Returns the status code of this operation. The status code either indicates success or describes an error or warning condition. Examine the status code from each call to an niWLAN function to determine if an error has occurred.

To obtain a text description of the status code and additional information about the error condition, call the niWLANA_GetErrorString function.
