instrument handle specifies the instrument session the niDigital Initialize with Options VI returns.

/images/reference/en-XX/help/375145c/cstr.gif

channel list specifies the list of channel names or list of pins for this VI. The channel list should consist of channel names or pin names. Do not pass a mix of channel names and pin names. An empty string denotes all digital pattern instrument channels.

Pin names and pin groups apply to all enabled sites, unless the pin name explicitly specifies the site. You can specify a pin in a specific site using the form siteN/pinName, where N is the site number. This VI ignores pins that are not mapped to the digital pattern instrument.

status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred before this VI ran or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred before this VI ran. The default is FALSE.

/images/reference/en-XX/help/375145c/cstr.gif

source describes the origin of the error or warning and is, in most cases, the name of the VI that produced the error or warning. The default is an empty string.

/images/reference/en-XX/help/375145c/iio.gif

instrument handle out returns the handle that identifies the session in all subsequent VI calls.

/images/reference/en-XX/help/375145c/i1di64.gif

failure count returns the number of failures in an array. If a site is disabled or not enabled for burst, the VI does not return data for that site. Use the niDigital Sort Pin Results By Site (I64) VI to order and combine the data to match the channel list. You can also use the niDigital Get Results Pin Map Information VI to obtain a sorted list of returned sites and channels.
