When a device attempts to connect to NI InsightCM Server, the device must possess connection information, such as its IP address and password, that NI InsightCM Server expects. Otherwise, the authentication process managed by the Server Comm module fails, and the device cannot establish its TCP connection with the server. To reset the connection information to values that NI InsightCM Server expects, browse to the Devices page in the InsightCM web application. You can then click on a device and select Connection»Test Connection from the Action pull-down menu. If the InsightCM web application returns the message Connected via device's web server, select Connection»Reset Connection from the Action pull-down menu.
