The NI-developed FPGA Acquisition process stores waveforms as data value references. The waveforms pass through the Dataflow Script in this format. To access the waveform data, wire the Waveforms array from a data set to a Data Value Reference Read border node on an In Place Element Structure. When you finish accessing the waveforms, wire them to a Data Value Reference Write border node before you re-bundle them into the data cluster and advance the Dataflow Script. For example, in the following block diagram, the In Place Element Structure reads the array of waveforms from the data value reference and passes the array outside the structure so a specific waveform can be operated on.
