Use a DataFinder from the TDM Server to index files cleansed and enhanced by a Data Preprocessor.

Complete the following steps with the wizard to set up a DataFinder for the files cleansed by the ConvertExampleData Data Preprocessor. If the Data Preprocessor ConvertExampleData does not exist, create the server according to the Setting Up a Data Preprocessor for TDMS Files procedure. To complete this procedure, you require at least the Professional license:

  1. Open TDM Server Manager in your web browser and login with your username and password.
  2. Select New»DataFinder to start the configuration wizard.
  3. Enter ProcessedDataIndex as the name of the new DataFinder and click Next.
  4. Enter, for example, MySearchArea as the name of the search area.
  5. Click Browse and select the TDM Server tab.
  6. Click Select a path from existing servers on the Data Preprocessor ConvertExampleData.
  7. Select Processed Data.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Next twice to continue with the configuration wizard.
  10. Select the PROFESSIONAL license.
  11. Click Finish to complete the initial configuration of the DataFinder.
  12. Select the newly created ProcessedDataIndex DataFinder in the list and click Start to start indexing.

DataFinders either scan search areas at regular intervals for new files or receive notifications from the file system about new files. As soon as these files have been indexed successfully, they can be used as the data source. The DataFinder triggers the immediate processing of new files by the Analysis Server.
