Fundamentals of Vision Lighting

The presentation will focus on basic machine vision lighting concepts from a technical view point. Topics will include lighting geometries, spectral considerations, camera/lens/light interactions and the impact of part surface shape, topography, and texture as they relate to producing a sample-appropriate image. Example images will illustrate how these factors impact light head selection and application. The end result is to prepare the attendee to select and specify an appropriate machine vision lighting system for their application.
