Additional note- adding friction to your SolidWorks motion simulation
The web cast shows how you can add friction to your SolidWorks motion simulation by creating a 3D contact. There is an alternative way to add friction that won't reduce the simulation performance-- To do this, click on the mate to which you would like to add friction and select "Edit Feature." Then navigate to the Analysis tab, check the Friction box, and configure the friction properties.
