Intro to Safety Isolation and Certification for Measurement Instruments
Overview
With measurement device capabilities rising, oftentimes up to 1,000 volts, comes the increased risk of shock or burn to the user, and possible fire or damage to the instrument itself. Errors in measurement data can also occur if the instrument is not properly isolated. This webcast on-demand video covers the basics of safety isolation as a tool to protect users, eliminate product damage and limit measurement inaccuracies through proper isolation. The meaning of agency safety marks (UL, TUV, VDE, etc) and the role of the CE marking is also discussed.
