The 1 dB compression point (or P1dB) is a commonly used figure of merit for RF amplifiers. This presentation briefly explains what the 1 dB compression point is, and shows how you can measure it in LabVIEW using an RF signal generator and RF signal analyzer. Complete sample code for measuring P1dB is provided with the presentation.
