Teaching Design Concepts with NI ELVIS
Overview
Dr. Barry Paton from Dalhousie University presents how he has used National Instruments LabVIEW software and the NI Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) to teach students hardware and software design concepts. In this Webcast see examples of labs Dr. Paton developed on NI ELVIS, including analog input and output, counters, timers, filtering concepts, and several project examples such as a traffic light simulator. Also discover how Dr. Paton used the powerful combination of NI ELVIS, LabVIEW, and the Web in a distance-learning system through which students explore data acquisition and a variety of other engineering concepts.
