NI LabVIEW Virtual User Group: Introduction to Actor Framework
Overview
The Actor Framework is a software library that supports the writing of applications in which multiple VIs run independently while communicating with each other. This presentation will introduce the object-oriented architecture called the Actor Framework, describe it's best use cases, and show demos of it running in an application.
Presented by Stephen Mercer, Senior Software Engineer for LabVIEW R&D and Allen Smith, Senior Systems Engineer.

I attended a similar talk by Stephen and Allen at NI Week 2012, and am working (again) through the AF Hands-on Exercise. It would be a great help to redo this video, possibly not in front of an audience, but "in a studio" to avoid dropouts, problems with the slides, uneven audio, etc. You could even put more content into the talk (including doing Part 2 and give the full hour-and-a-half presentation).- Robert Schor, University of Rochester. robert_schor@urmc.rochester.edu - Aug 29, 2012
