Overview

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a medical imaging modality based on the principle of low-coherence interferometry. OCT has been applied to imaging in various biological applications including ophthalmology, gastroenterology, dentistry, cardiology, and tumor margining. OCT systems are signal processing intensive and well suited for real-time operating systems and FPGA technologies. In this video, review the basic OCT signal processing chain, different types of OCT systems, schematics of various OCT system types, and signal processing algorithms used in these systems. Also explore NI technologies that help reduce the time to set up and deploy OCT applications. To learn more or ask National Instruments to assist with your OCT application definition, contact your local NI office.
