Filtering and Interpolation to Reduce Baseband Spectral Images
Overview
Learn how both digital and analog filters are used in conjunction to reduce high frequency images of baseband signals.
In this webcast, we explain the fundamental tradeoffs between sample rate and signal accuracy for baseband I/Q signal generation. These tradeoffs are due to the fundamental sample-and-hold attribute of modern digital-to-analog converters, which produces high-frequency spectral images. Here, we explain how filtering can improve measurement accuracy without sacrificing measurement speed. As a result, viewers will learn how to increase measurement throughput while preserving measurement accuracy.
