Window»Build Output

The Build Output window displays build status messages, such as build errors and warnings and build steps. To bring the Build Output window to the front for viewing, select Window»Build Output. You can double-click an error in the Build Output window to highlight the line of code where the error occurred.

Right-clicking in the Build Output window displays the context menu with the following options:

  • Configure Warnings—Opens the Compiler Warnings dialog box and highlights the warning that corresponds to the warning selected in the Build Output window. You can then customize the compiler warnings that appear in the Build Output window.
  • Disable/Enable Warning—Enables or disables compiler warnings in the Build Output window for subsequent compilations. Use the Compiler Warnings dialog box to re-enable a warning.
  • Hide/Show Warnings—Hides or displays compiler warnings in the Build Output window.
  • Clear Window—Removes all items from the Build Output window.
  • Copy Item—Copies a single, highlighted item to the clipboard.
  • Copy All Items—Copies all items in the Build Output window to the clipboard.
  • Save to File—Saves the contents of the Build Output window to a text file.
  • Find—Opens the Find dialog box, which you can use to search for text in the Build Output window.
  • Goto Item—Highlights the selected line of code.
  • Close—Closes the window.
  • Release/Confine Window—Releases the window from the Output Region if confined. Confines the window into the Output Region if released.

Right-clicking on the tab of the Build Output window displays the context menu with the following options:

  • Close—Closes the window.
  • Release Window—Removes the window from the Output Region.
  • Help—Opens the help topic for the Build Output window.
