If you need to simultaneously support the 32-bit architecture and the 64-bit architecture, use source only VIs for all LabVIEW code modules. The appropriate LabVIEW development system compiles and adds the compiled VI code to the LabVIEW object cache if the code is not already present in the cache. Subsequent calls use the code in the LabVIEW object cache.

If you are using packed project libraries or VIs that depend on DLLs, complete the following steps to associate the bitness-specific version of the packed project library or VI with a step.

  1. Create a win32 subdirectory and an x64 subdirectory in the sequence file directory.
  2. Move the bitness-specific version of the packed project library or VI into the appropriate subdirectory.
  3. Update the module path to $(Platform)\filename.lvlibp or $(Platform)\filename.vi. 32-bit TestStand converts the path to win32\filename.lvlibp or win32\filename.vi, and 64-bit TestStand converts the path to x64\filename.lvlibp or x64\filename.vi.
