Schemas Tab

A schema defines how TestStand logs results to a database. A schema consists of a list of statements and each statement consists of a list of columns.

The Schemas tab contains the following sections:

  • Schema—Displays the setting for the selected schema. Click the checkbox next to the schema you want the TestStand process model to use as the default schema.

Use the up and down arrow buttons to control the order of the items in the list. Use the Import and Export buttons to share one or more schemas with another test station.
    Notes Notes
    • You cannot move a statement up if the following two conditions are true:
      • One or more columns in the statement you want to move has a foreign key set to the statement above.
      • The statement above does not log to the same table as any other statement higher in the list.
    • You cannot move a statement down if the following two conditions are true:
      • One or more columns in the statement below has a foreign key set to the statement you want to move.
      • No statement above logs to the same table as the statement you want to move.
