Note Note  Changes to these settings apply only when the ApplicationMgr.UseStepListConfigurations property is False or when no applicable step list configurations exist in the application configuration file.

Appearance Property Page

The Appearance property page contains the following controls:

  • Comments—Display step comments.
    • Display Step Comments—Displays step comments above the step.
    • Draw Comments Bar—Draws a vertical bar to the left of step comments.
    • Lines to Display—The maximum number of comment lines to show for a step.
  • Grid Lines—Enables horizontal and vertical grid lines.
    • Horizontal—Draws horizontal lines between steps.
    • Vertical—Draws vertical lines between columns.
  • Block Display Options—Controls the appearance of steps, such as Flow Control steps, that define a block structure in a sequence.
    • Indent Blocks—Indents the steps within a block.
    • Show Block Lines—Draws a vertical bar to the left of the steps in a block.
    • Show Step Group Lines—Draws a vertical line to the left of the steps to outline each step group. This option is available only when you enable the Show Block Lines option.
    • Dotted Block Lines—Draws the vertical bar to the left of the block with a dotted line. This option is available only when you enable the Show Block Lines option.
    • Show Block Step Icons—Displays icons for steps that define or operate according to the block structure of the sequence.
    • Bold Block Step Font—Displays the step name in bold for steps that define or operate according to the block structure of the sequence.
    • Highlight Block Mismatch Errors—Draws the step name in red for steps that start blocks that do not have an ending step and for block ending steps that do not match with a block starting step. Also draws the vertical block bar red for blocks that do not have an ending step.
  • Appearance—Defines the look and feel of the control.
    • Make Columns Always Fit—When you enable this option, every column for which you enable the Autosize option on the Columns property page automatically expands or contracts when the control size changes so all the columns fit within the available space.
    • Shade Alternate Columns—TestStand uses a slightly darker color to paint the background for the alternate columns.
    • Round Cells—TestStand uses rounded corners to draw the background for the individual cells. By default all cells have the same background color as the control. However, you can alter an individual cell background using the SeqViewColumn.BackColorExpression property.
    • Show Step Icons—TestStand draws the step icons.
    • Icon Size—The size of icons to show in the control. Icons are always square. For example, when you select 32 in the Icon Size control, the icon dimensions are 32 × 32 pixels.
