Parameters

signalSource
Type: NationalInstruments.ModularInstruments.NIFgen..::.SignalSource
The source of the signal to route.
signalIdentifier
Type: System..::.String
The instance of the selected signal to export.
outputTerminal
Type: System..::.String
The output terminal to export the signal.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
Ivi.Driver.IviCDriverException The underlying NI-FGEN driver returned an error.
Ivi.Driver.SelectorNameException The value for signalIdentifier is invalid or unknown.
ArgumentException The value for signalSource is invalid.
ObjectDisposedException ExportSignal was called after the associated NIFgen or FgenDriverUtility object was disposed.

Remarks

Any routes created within a session persist after the session closes to prevent signal glitches. To reconfigure signal routes created in previous sessions, set reset parameter of NIFgen or NIFgen to true (True in Visual Basic) when creating the NIFgen session instance or use ResetDevice. If you export a signal with this method and commit the session, the signal is routed to the output terminal you specify.
