The measurement range is implicitly selected based on the configured output range. Thus, you cannot change the measurement range independently of the output range. The selected measurement range is large enough to measure any voltage or current within the configured output range.
When the output function is set to NIDCPOWER_VAL_DC_VOLTAGE using the niDCPower_ConfigureOutputFunction function or DC Voltage using the niDCPower Configure Output Function VI, the following ranges are used.

|Note If a range other than what is listed in the following tables is selected, the range is coerced to the next-highest range. For example, requesting the 20 V voltage limit range on Channel 0 on the NI-PXI 4132 coerces the voltage limit range to 100 V. Refer to the Ranges topic for more information about coercion.|
Enabling overranging for a particular channel extends current and voltage output capabilities from 100% to 105% and current capabilities down from 2% to 1% for the output range. Overranging is applicable to output ranges only and does not apply to measurement ranges. Measurements in any given range may be made up to 105% of the range by default without enabling overranging.
Changes in voltage and current level occur simultaneously when the device configuration is applied upon entering the Running state. However, changes do not occur simultaneously if there is a voltage or current range change involved.
